Castor Preflight inspects Castor EDC .xlsx exports entirely in the browser, combines study data with Castor variable definitions and option groups, and produces a structured QC report covering identifiers, missingness, type/range validity, categorical options, date validity and user-defined date-ordering rules. No clinical dataset content is uploaded to the Clinical Research Tools server.

Browser-local QC
Clinical data remain in the browser while the platform receives only session, billing and execution-status metadata.
Structured QC report
Checks identifiers, missingness, data types, ranges, option values, date formats and configurable date ordering.
One-credit QC
Workbook inspection is free; the QC analysis costs one credit once per active tool session.
Privacy boundary. Browser-only clinical data is not sent to Laravel for session or operation authorization.
